Then join Unlock Inc as our first Product Manager!

Unlock is a flexible web3 protocol that allows you to put a “lock” on certain features on your site or application. It’s powered by NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) that verify membership status. A single NFT can be used to allow access to multiple areas and groups, regardless of whether they are on the web or in the physical world. This means that Unlock can be used to group together formerly distributed fanbases or accept and verify tickets to events and venues.

We've built a core protocol on Ethereum and deployed other EVM networks. It is now used by companies like forbes.com or creators like Camilla Russo and conferences like EthCC and more. To make things smooth for non-crypto users, we added credit card support and a dashboard that makes it easy to deploy lock contracts, set membership details, and add payment options.

The protocol, fully open source (MIT licensed) aims at being collectively owned by its community of users is managed by a DAO and a community of 4000+ governance token holders.

Tasks

  • Execute on full-spectrum product work from discovery through delivery
  • Define and implement product strategy for the core protocol, the developer/creator tooling as well as some occasional consumer facing implementations of the protocol
  • Translate strategic business goals into roadmaps, backlogs, and delivery plans
  • Create and implement user research plans for in-flight discovery work
  • Sprint planning and alignment with release, project, and budget goals
  • Communicate outcomes and learnings cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing and partnerships

    • Requirements

  • 5+ years experience working on high-impact technical products including libraries, open source components, APIs, or platforms, in an engineering or technical product role, with ideally 2+ years as a product manager
  • Awareness and familiarity with Web2 and Web3 concepts, paradigms and tech stacks
  • Exceptional leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
