UX/ UI Designer (f/d/m)
About the Role
Are you passionate about designing intuitive, scalable, and user-centered interfaces for complex systems? HOLOGATE / HGXR is looking for an experienced UX Researcher & UI Designer (f/m/d) to help shape the future of our enterprise VR training and simulation platforms.
In this role, you will take ownership of both UX research and UI design, guiding our interfaces from MVP stage to mature, production-ready products. Our systems serve as a central control layer between hardware and software and are used by multiple user groups to manage highly complex workflows—often in mission-critical environments. Your work will be essential in creating a unified, future-proof “One UI” design system that balances usability, scalability, and technical constraints.

Your Responsibilities
- Drive strategic design initiatives through partnerships with product leadership and executive teams, with a focus on transformative experiences.
- Conduct usability evaluations using interviews, audits, and analyses, to identify and mitigate risks.
- Create prototypes that show sophisticated hand-device interactions.
- Design interface concepts that address complex challenges.
- Ensure design quality within your project scope and work closely with Tech and Dev teams to implement designs using JTBD, information architecture maps, flow diagrams, heuristics, and interaction design principles
- Ensure smooth Handover to development with briefings and tailored information, accompany the development process and implementation testing to ensure a Quality Outcome for the End User
Your Profile
- German on a native level, English C1
- Focus on Application Design
- A media design or design graduate with a passion for turning intricate concepts into intuitive experiences
- UX Design expert who thrives on simplifying complex systems and creating user-centered solutions
- A communicative team player who loves collaborative creativity and bringing ideas to life
- Proficient in standard design tools and quick to adapt to new creative technologies
- Self-motivated, solution-oriented professional who always keeps user needs at the heart of every design
Nice To Have
- Experienced in law enforcement and defense sector dynamics
- Enthusiast in PC gaming and immersive VR/XR technologies
- Experience in VR UI Desigen
- Understanding in HTML, CSS, API
- Proactive user advocate with expertise in Jira and Confluence collaboration tools
